The doors will open at 6pm, so anytime from 6pm on. Dinner will be served at about 7pm. Dancing and general merrymaking will follow.
This one is hard. Cocktail attire? Listen, we rented out a grand steakhouse in Omaha, Nebraska to have a July wedding reception in and we’ve invited the entire staff of two hair salons, so people will be Dressing, but I’m not precious about this. I like to think our wedding is a chance to wear the thing you’ve wanted to wear but have no place to. You won’t be out of place in an evening gown or a sequined mini dress or a beautiful floral sundress, but, you will be out of place if you wear jeans. Please don’t wear jeans—this isn’t a Nebraska funeral. I, for one, am going to wear a wedding dress.
Well, there’s no ceremony. We’re actually having a small ceremony in Las Vegas in late May, so by the time you see us, we’ll be legally wed. But the cocktail hour, dinner, dancing you’re going to will take place indoors.
AccuWeather says the high on that day could be 88 degrees based on historical averages. Johnny’s Cafe is air conditioned.
Johnny’s Cafe is located in South Omaha, at 4702 S 27th St. There are other restaurants named Johnny’s in Omaha, so make sure you have the right address. Our Johnny’s is a 101 year old steakhouse we went to on our second date. We’re the first people to rent out the entire place on a Saturday night in decades. An honor. https://johnnyscafe.com/
Transportation will not be provided to the venue. It is a 12 minute drive from our recommended hotel, Courtyard Omaha Aksarben Village (booking link at the top of the main page of this website). Lyft and Uber rides should be fairly inexpensive from Aksarben Village, should you plan on letting the wine and spirits get the best of you.
Johnny’s has a sizable parking lot, so feel free to bring the largest vehicle you have.
We are unable to accommodate children at our reception. Full disclosure, Elliot (Justin’s son) is gonna be there.
We are going to be serving a big ol Johnny’s buffet. A smorgasbord. They asked if we wanted to serve a turkey and we said no, but most other areas of a classic Omaha steakhouse menu will be represented.
You’ll notice that there’s a spot to indicate that within the RSVP tab of this site. Johnny’s has shared with us that they’re able to accommodate our friends with dietary restrictions, no problem!
Yes.
We have a block at Courtyard by Marriott Omaha Aksarben Village, reserved til June 1, which can be booked here: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1678730208471&key=GRP&app=resvlink . Aksarben Village is a walkable area where you’ll be able to enjoy a Sunday morning farmers market, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and more. Although we don’t have room blocks at either of these hotels, the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel and The Farnam Hotel, Autograph Collection are also great choices, if you’re looking for something a bit more posh.

June 19th
Yes. Hopefully, we’ll have photos printed from the ceremony for you to see at the reception. Don’t worry, my dress for the reception is better and grander than the wedding one
We do have a registry. https://www.myregistry.com/giftlist/justinandrebecca is the link, or, click the Wedding Registry button at the top of this page.
Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
We don’t know. What’s YOUR wedding hashtag?
We have Johnny’s until midnight. After that? We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
We’ll email or text you.
